Garuhapé is a municipality in the province of Misiones, located in the Libertador General San Martin department. The city's name comes from a word Guarani.

With a population of 8259 inhabitants according to the 2001 Census (INDEC), the city lies on the banks of National Route 12, Posadas 147 km, 150 km from the Iguazu Falls, and 1251 kilometers from the city of Buenos Aires, capital of the Republic of Argentina.
